The story focuses on Romy (Mira Sorvino) and Michele (Kudrow), both in their late twenties, who have struggled to make a mark in the real world. They were frequently tormented by a clique of popular girls known as “The A-Group” during high school, an experience that left a lasting impact. As they approach their ten-year reunion and feel dissatisfied with their current careers, Romy and Michele devise false professions to avoid being bullied again and to impress their former peers.
