As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both virtual adventures and timekeeping, I must say that these new Longines Spirit Flyback timepieces have certainly caught my eye! With their retro-inspired colorways and meticulous attention to detail, they exude an air of nostalgia that resonates deeply with me.
Expanding the collection of Spirit Flyback watches, Longines has introduced two new versions with vintage-inspired color schemes.
As a fan, I’d put it this way: One watch showcases a flat, matte green dial that complements its ceramic bezel insert, along with an 18-karat yellow gold crown, buttons, and bezel top. Another model boasts a shaded brown dial and bezel insert, combining the warmth of retro aesthetics with its 18-karat rose gold bezel cap, buttons, and crown. Both watches have Arabic numerals and hands plated in yellow gold or rose gold and coated in Super-LumiNova® Old Radium for easy reading in low light conditions.
These two designs, each 42mm wide and housed in sleek stainless steel, offer a chilly contrast to their coordinated colored-leather straps and watch faces. The dials are adorned with dual tonal subdials, enhancing the watches’ capabilities with flyback chronograph features. These functions are driven by their COSC-certified L791.4 caliber.
You can observe the movement functioning from the transparent caseback, ticking away at 28,800 beats per hour. This watch also boasts a power reserve of 68 hours. The mechanism’s caliber is adorned with a micro-rotor, available in yellow or rose gold, and intricately engraved with “LONGINES FLYBACK.”
Each Spirit Flyback timepiece is priced at $6,500 USD and can be purchased through Longines’ official website or their physical boutiques.
