Look Back at DOE’s 10th Anniversary Projects

As a lifelong enthusiast of street culture and fashion, I must say that this 10th anniversary collaboration between DOE and these iconic brands is truly a sight to behold. Growing up, I remember the days when Vans were the ultimate symbol of skateboarding coolness, and now seeing them collaborate with DOE is like a dream come true for my younger self.

The Department of Energy (DOE) celebrated its 10th anniversary by releasing a special edition publication and forming partnerships with several respected associates within the industry.

The company revealed a special, limited release tribute book, offering a comprehensive exploration of the DOE’s story, notable collaborations, and their “BE FORMLESS” ideology. This publication provides a unique glimpse into not only the brand itself, but also the individuals, relationships, and narratives that underpin it.

Carhartt WIP

The latest collaboration between DOE and Carhartt WIP for their 10th anniversary reinterprets several iconic items under the concept of “COMMON UNITES.” This partnership introduces a co-branded long sleeve T-shirt, beanie, and an eye-catching moss green jacket that complements the tote bag. Notably, the tote bag is designed with a patterned pouch.

Clark’s

Clark’s and the Department of Energy have teamed up to introduce a joint Wallabee GTX model boasting plush suede upper material, substantial white midsoles and outsoles, and a convenient toggle lacing system. The branding elements are noticeable on the GORE-TEX tag at the ankle, pull tab, as well as Clark’s, DOE, and GORE-TEX charms adorning the shoelaces in multiple textures.

FILA Fusion

In this partnership between DOE and FILA FUSION, the young generation takes center stage. They’ve introduced a daring line inspired by nautical flags, featuring vibrant hues and intricate designs. This collection is designed for cooler weather with long-sleeved T-shirts, knitted pullovers, hoodies, padded jackets, and other essential items.

Goldwin

Goldwin and DOE’s collaborative launch showcases an innovative blend of aesthetics and functionality, setting new standards for practical design. This three-piece assortment comes in soothing, natural tones and includes a padded vest, a GORE-TEX jacket, and a cap – all geared up to withstand inclement weather conditions.

Gundam

To celebrate its 10-year milestone, the Department of Engineering (DOE) invites fresh members to join its team, starting with a partnership with Gundam. This collaboration centers around futuristic robots, or mecha, and showcases a powerful, metallic figure adorned with only subtle DOE and Gundam logos at the forefront.

Levi’s

In the same vein as their decade-long alliance, Levi’s and DOE’s tenth year collaboration harmoniously blends tradition and contemporary style. This collection pays homage to Levi’s iconic denim jeans with a black pair adorned with a unique “DOE” tag, alongside a matching black jacket boasting an elegantly designed interior pattern.

Patta

Using Patta, these two brands create a unique blend that resonates with both Eastern and Western cultures by offering a collection that communicates effectively in both worlds. They’ve dropped a selection consisting of a T-shirt, long-sleeve T-shirt, and two hoodies. The items boast distinctive co-branded emblems resembling steel and captivating imagery of a panther and dragon, symbolizing the union of these diverse cultures.

Shanghai Watch

A fresh addition to our family is Shanghai Watch. Their partnerships pay homage to the city’s past with a special, limited edition timepiece, and it boasts an elegant black and gold color scheme.

The North Face

In celebration of their shared love for the great outdoors, The North Face and DOE have collaborated on a 10th anniversary collection. This partnership is reflected in the design, which features a puffer jacket and sweatshirt in shades of gray and black, adorned with hexagonal patterns and traditional mountain motifs that pay homage to the breathtaking splendor of nature.

Vans

To maintain the lively essence of street culture, Vans and DOE unveil their collaboration on the LX Authentic Reissue 44 and the LX Sport 73.
