Looks Like Daniel Craig Is Getting His Own DC Movie Lined Up, And It'll Re-Team Him With Queer's Luca Guadagnino

As a gamer with a deep-rooted affection for both comic books and movies, I must admit that my heart skipped a beat upon hearing the news of Daniel Craig teaming up with Luca Guadagnino once again! The duo’s unique blend of storytelling and character depth was evident in their previous collaborations, and I can hardly wait to see what they bring to the table with Sgt. Rock.

In the home stretch of the 2024 movie schedule, the Daniel Craig-starring “Queer,” directed by Luca Guadagnino (of “Challengers”), is one of the films set to release before November ends. This marks the first collaboration between actor and director, with rumors suggesting that it won’t be their last. It appears that Daniel Craig has a DC movie in the works which will be directed by Luca Guadagnino as well.

According to Deadline’s latest report, Craig and Guadagnino are set to collaborate once more on a film based on the iconic World War II character, Sgt. Rock. This character first appeared in the 1959 issue #83 of ‘Our Army at War’, created by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert. The upcoming Sgt. Rock movie will be set within the DC Universe continuity, with Guadagnino directing it before his upcoming adaptation of ‘American Psycho’. Justin Kuritzkes is currently writing the screenplay for this project; he has previously written ‘Queer’ and ‘Challengers’.
