Once more, we find ourselves in a similar situation. The Steam edition of the highly-anticipated character action game, Lost Soul Aside, is missing from countries that don’t have PlayStation Network (PSN) support. This is disheartening news for players eagerly awaiting Yang Bing’s creation.
Approximately 100 nations currently don’t offer PlayStation Network (PSN) support, and Sony is yet to announce any plans for expanding this service. Consequently, it’s not possible to pre-order or buy the game in countries like the Philippines, Afghanistan, Vietnam, or Iran at the moment.
It’s quite perplexing, given that Sony has done away with the necessity for a PSN account to play their newest games. However, it seems we’re back in the familiar loop, as numerous gamers find themselves unable to gain access to PlayStation’s eagerly awaited PC launches.
In some countries without PlayStation Network (PSN), it’s not unusual that Lost Soul Aside isn’t available on Steam. A similar situation occurred when Helldivers 2 appeared to vanish from Steam’s store after Sony started integrating PSN for online games. This caused quite a stir among gamers, as they found themselves unable to invite friends for multiplayer battles against Tyranids and other extraterrestrial enemies.

In another instance, there was the matter of The Last of Us Part II, a one-player video game. At first, it necessitated a PlayStation Network (PSN) account. Thankfully, Sony later changed their stance on this, granting players in countries without PSN support the ability to enjoy the complete game.
The fact that pre-orders for the single-player action game, Lost Soul Aside, are already available raises a point of curiosity – why hasn’t it been released yet? Surprisingly, players residing outside of PlayStation Network-supported regions are encountering an unfortunate message from Steam: “I’m sorry, but this item is not accessible in your region.
Discontented supporters have resorted to the r/LostSoulAside forum to express their worries, with certain individuals expressing optimism that the PSN requirement might be scrapped. However, since Ultizero Games, the developer of Lost Soul Aside, isn’t actually owned by Sony but merely published by them, there could potentially be some flexibility in this aspect.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m bummed out because I can’t grab a copy of Lost Soul Aside in my region yet. But hey, fingers crossed! Maybe it’s just a temporary glitch on the listings, and we’ll be gaming together soon enough.
