Tomorrow, the festival attendees will get a chance to engage with Liu during a public discussion session.

In a career lasting more than three decades, the highly praised actress and director Lucy Liu has appeared in movies that together have earned over $3.7 billion globally,” Locarno noted. “From her memorable performances in ‘Kill Bill’, ‘Charlie’s Angels’, ‘Chicago’, ‘Set It Up’, ‘Presence’, and ‘Red One’, Liu consistently pushes the boundaries of what it is to be a leading actress in Hollywood.

They additionally emphasized that Liu’s career took off with her notable role in Ally McBeal, which earned her both Emmy and SAG nominations. Since then, she has established herself as a trailblazer on television, with an impressive list of credits such as Why Women Kill, Elementary, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Star Wars: Visions, and A Man in Full to her name.

In addition to highlighting Liu’s main body of work, the Locarno team also showcased her accomplishments as a visual artist.
