Two years past, I found myself utterly captivated by the unique blend of terror, sci-fi, humor, and dance combat in M3GAN. It was a thrilling ride!
Soon, the highly anticipated update of MEGAN 2.0 is about to be released, and its makers assure us it will be even more thrilling, intense, and action-packed than before. This upgrade promises to deliver in every aspect, and a new behind-the-scenes video showcases the film with insights from the cast and crew.
For More on M3GAN
In the last trailer for M3GAN 2.0, Allison Williams puts on a high-tech outfit similar to M3GAN’s super-suit. Rest assured, the director of the sequel guarantees that it maintains the ‘horror roots’ from the original film. Here’s an interesting tidbit about how the climactic scene in ‘M3GAN’ was altered in the initial version.
New featurette for M3GAN 2.0 goes full action movie
If you haven’t been following the movie “M3GAN 2.0”, it picks up two years later from where we left off. The AI named M3GAN, who was once troublesome, appears to be nowhere to be found now. Her creator, Gemma (played by Allison Williams), has become a vocal proponent for controlling the technology used in creating AIs like M3GAN. On the home front, Gemma’s niece Cady (Violet McGraw) has grown into a teenager and, typical of her age, she’s showing signs of rebellion, causing some friction at home.
Though Gemma and Cady are unaware of it, M3GAN’s technology was actually stolen and used to create Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno), an advanced military-grade artificial warrior. As expected, Amelia turned against her creators, just like M3GAN. The only way out? Bring back M3GAN, get her combat-ready, and brace for a robot battle royal.

Despite being broken down into separate words and phrases, each spoken by different cast members about the film, a clear main theme can be discerned. This is emphasized by co-star Jen Van Epps, who portrays Tess, Gemma’s colleague, as she communicates this common message.
“It is a full-on, action-packed movie,” Van Epps said.
In the original M3GAN movie, there was plenty of action, even a fight against another robot towards the end. However, the sequel, M3GAN 2.0, promises to ramp up the action significantly, somewhat similar to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, but with a dash of dance thrown in for good measure.
Rest assured, horror enthusiasts, as the director, Gerard Johnstone, guarantees that the essence of the original horror elements stays undiluted in the sequel.
How can you watch M3GAN 2.0?
I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’ll be gracing the big screen nationwide on June 27, but there are also special sneak peeks scheduled for June 26 evening! Secure your seats by visiting Fandango right away!
