Madrid-Based Grimey Unveils FW24 Streetwear Collection

As a globetrotter with a heart for street culture and a penchant for vibrant fashion statements, I am absolutely smitten by Grimey‘s Fall/Winter 2024 collection! The label’s ability to weave together diverse cultural narratives into a cohesive sartorial tapestry is truly commendable.

For their Fall/Winter 2024 line, the Madrid-based brand Grimey draws inspiration from a wide range of urban fashion trends to bring to life tales that reflect various global cultures.

Each cultural story is divided into eight distinct collections, which incorporate unique designs, themes, and patterns that enhance the clothing within each line. For instance, one collection named “Follow the Dollar” honors the impact of New York hip-hop culture through puffers and hoodies featuring a camouflage print. Another collection called “Deeper” draws inspiration from Japan, as tiger graphics are beautifully embroidered onto red and black leather bomber jackets, becoming an essential outerwear piece for this season.

Among the highlights of the collection is the “Land Back” themed capsule, symbolizing unity with Palestine. This special design adapts the traditional Keffiyah pattern to embellish soccer jerseys and scarves. Additionally, the popular soccer jersey can be found in the Irish-inspired “Saoirse” collection, which showcases a unique three-cats emblem, seven stars, and typography reminiscent of a newspaper layout.

To add a contrast to the bolder pieces in the collection, we offer a selection of simple black-and-white mid-layers inspired by ’90s Britcore, under the “Hijacker” capsule. Meanwhile, our special collaboration with SK8LAND x Grimey, which includes vintage hoodies and baggy tops, takes us back to our origins in Madrid’s skate culture.
