Mads Mikkelsen is set to take on a new role, promising a chilly theater experience. With a history of action movies under his belt, Mikkelsen will revisit this genre for an upcoming project that seems tailor-made for the talented Danish performer.
Lee Smith, who won an Academy Award for editing films like “Dunkirk,” is set to make his directorial debut in the upcoming action movie titled “Sirius.” This film will feature Mads Mikkelsen as its leading actor. The movie has been described as a suspenseful Arctic action-thriller, loosely based on the true story of the Sirius Patrol, a Danish special forces unit responsible for guarding Greenland’s 8,700-mile long frozen coastline. Neon International intends to sell the foreign distribution rights for “Sirius” during the Cannes Film Festival.
More to come.
