Mahira Khan grooves to Dev Anand and Geeta Bali’s classic song from film Baazi and VIDEO is unmissable

As a dedicated fan of Mahira Khan, I cannot help but be in awe of this remarkable actress from Pakistan. Her Bollywood debut alongside the legendary Shah Rukh Khan in “Raees” was not only a career milestone but also an unforgettable moment for her fans across borders. Despite the challenges that came after, Mahira’s love for India and Indian cinema has remained undeterred.

Mahira Khan, a Pakistani actress, gained immense popularity in India with her debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s 2017 film “Raees.” Despite being unable to secure any projects thereafter due to the ban on Pakistani artists, her Indian fanbase has been expanding rapidly. What sets Mahira apart is her mutual admiration for India and its entertainment industry.

Mahira Khan grooves on Dev Anand and Geeta Bali’s songs

In her latest video release, Mahira is shown dancing to an famous tune from Baazi, where Dev Anand and Geeta Bali starred. At what appears to be a film set, the 39-year-old artistically replicates Geeta Bali’s expressions during the song “Tadbeer Se Bigadi Huyee Taqdeer.” The result is a stunningly beautiful performance.

Mahira Khan’s caption is worth giving a look

Mahira Khan penned down some thoughts in a lengthy caption accompanying her video. She shared an epiphany she had recently: nothing can transport her away like music. While browsing through old clips on her phone, the Verna starlet discovered her affinity for music and her preference to have it playing around.

Mahira shared that she has an irresistible urge to dance, especially when she’s feeling down. “I may not be able to resist (which happens quite frequently), so I get up and dance,” she explained. She went on to say that music can transport her to another place, even during sad or difficult times. “A song can lift my spirits, if only for a moment,” she added. Mahira also mentioned that while her loved ones sometimes find her dancing endearing, it has become so routine for them that they no longer pay much attention.

Mahira signed off saying, “But they all know that it’s my happy place. It really is.”

When Mahira Khan called artists across borders ‘soft targets’

In a past conversation with Variety, Mahira shared that her experience working in India was simply fantastic, and she’s managed to keep in contact with her colleagues there ever since. “Sadly, we are vulnerable, exposed… But being artists, we share a unique bond through our artistic endeavors. So we’re making it a priority to support and protect each other.”
