As a long-time fan of survival horror games and someone who appreciates a good dose of folklore in my gaming experiences, I’m absolutely thrilled about Wales Interactive’s decision to bring Maid of Sker to mobile devices! Having grown up near the Welsh countryside myself, I can only imagine the chills that will run down my spine as I explore the eerie Sker Island.

The horror game developed by Wales Interactive, titled Maid of Sker and set in Wales, is moving to mobile platforms. Expected to launch on September 10th, players will have an opportunity to explore the eerie game either on their iOS or Android devices, with a trial version available before purchase.

The game “Maid of Sker” draws upon classic Victorian literature and traditional Welsh tales, where the character Thomas Evans embarks on a journey that mirrors typical horror game plots, as he’s unwillingly pulled into a mysterious predicament on Sker Island by Elisabeth Williams, one of its residents.

If you imagine a game similar to ‘Amnesia: The Dark Descent’, then you’re on the right path! Your goal is to sneak past ominous, monstrous creatures while revealing the truth about what’s transpiring on Sker Island. Use stealth, cunning, and the occasional helpful device to prevent becoming a permanent inhabitant of the island.

Unlike previous works by Wales Interactive, this title deviates from being an FMV production and instead presents a fully three-dimensional experience.
