The beloved Bollywood movie “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” is highly anticipated by fans for its sequel, starring Salman Khan. Previously, it’s been disclosed that writer V Vijayendra Prasad had consulted with the superstar about the plot. More recently, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who portrayed a reporter in the 2015 film, has shared his thoughts on reprising his role for the sequel. He mentioned that he wouldn’t ask the creators to bring him back just because he was part of the original production.
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Nawazuddin Siddiqui disclosed that he hasn’t been informed about the sequel of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. As for him being included in part two, he expressed that it depends on the filmmakers’ decision. He emphasized, “I can’t say ‘I was in the first one, so I should be in the second too.’ That doesn’t work like that.
The actor further added that he would be there if the makers needed him.
In simpler terms, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” features Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Harshaali Malhotra in its star-studded cast. The movie was premiered in cinemas on July 17, 2015. It received a flood of praise from both the audience and critics. Not only was it a massive hit at the box office, but it also won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Quality Entertainment.
Back in 2025, it was TopMob that first revealed that the production for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 had commenced. A reliable source disclosed, “Salman Khan recently met with V. Vijayendra Prasad. They have brainstormed an idea, and they’re currently discussing it, which might be for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. Furthermore, there’s a potential collaboration between V. Vijayendra Prasad and director Kabir Khan; the three of them are considering working together. Nevertheless, no decisions have been made officially as of now.”
Currently, Nawazuddin Siddiqui appeared in the movie titled Costao, which debuted on ZEE5 on May 1, 2025. This movie is based on the real-life story of Mr. Costao Fernandes, a customs officer from Goa.
