Major Agatha All Along Reveal Supports Exciting Avengers MCU Rumor

As a seasoned Marvel fan who’s been following the universe since its inception, I must say that the fifth episode of ‘Agatha All Along‘ has left me with a sense of deja vu – in the best possible way! The revelation that Joe Locke’s character is none other than Billy Kaplan aka Wiccan was as predictable as Thanos snapping his fingers, but just as exhilarating.

The fifth episode of ‘Agatha All Along’, titled “Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power”, may have given some validity to the recent speculation about the future course of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In this installment, it became clear to many viewers that Joe Locke’s character is none other than Billy Kaplan, a well-known figure in Marvel Comics as Wiccan and the son of Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch. This revelation was something fans had anticipated for years, yet it still managed to excite us all.

As a fervent fan, I can’t help but share the buzz that’s been swirling around regarding Wiccan’s role. It seems that there might be truth to the whispers online suggesting that “Agatha All Along” could spearhead an adaptation of the “Children’s Crusade” comics. This intriguing possibility aligns with speculation about the upcoming MCU Young Avengers project heavily drawing from this storyline.

Between 2010 and 2012, the “The Young Avengers: Children’s Crusade” storyline unfolded, penned by Allan Heinberg and illustrated by Jim Cheung. This series primarily revolves around the Young Avengers on a mission to locate the absent Scarlet Witch and reveal if team members Wiccan and Speed are the reborn souls of Wanda Maximoff’s and Vision’s children. The comic book cast the Young Avengers as key players in the Marvel Universe, interacting with the Avengers, X-Men, Magneto, and the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe villain, Doctor Doom. In the narrative, Doctor Doom was caring for the Scarlet Witch in Latveria, preparing for their wedding, and it was the Young Avengers’ responsibility to thwart his nefarious scheme.

Starting with Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios has been gradually introducing characters who could potentially form the Young Avengers. This process began with Billy and Tommy Maximoff in “WandaVision,” followed by Eli Bradley in “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” Kate Bishop in “Hawkeye,” America Chavez in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” Kamala Khan in “Ms. Marvel,” Ironheart in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Cassie Lang in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” and most recently, a hint that they might be assembling was dropped at the end of “The Marvels” when Ms. Marvel asked Kate Bishop to join forces.

The storyline from The Children’s Crusade is starting to blend with Agatha All Along, as Wiccan embarks on a journey to discover his real mother – the Scarlet Witch. This could potentially lead to the formation of a Young Avengers team, with these young heroes banding together in pursuit of their common goal. A hint at the Scarlet Witch’s fate was dropped in Deadpool & Wolverine when her carving on Mount Wundagore was displayed in the Void heroes’ hideout. This might also be an initial showing of Doctor Doom prior to Avengers: Doomsday, as Marvel Studios aims to maximize the substantial paycheck they are giving to Robert Downey Jr. With just four episodes remaining in Agatha All Along, we may finally get a clearer picture of the future direction of the MCU.
