Entitled “Blinds,” this is Martine Margiela’s debut outdoor sculpture, characterized by a colossal, circular design with a mirrored surface. This creation is conceived as part of Middleheim Museum’s Kunst in de Stad (Art in the City) initiative. The installation subtly evokes window blinds, yet carries an extra veil of enigma that aligns with Margiela’s cryptic style.
As described by Middleheim Museum, the reflective artwork subtly echoes the storefronts that line the street.
