As a long-time Marvel fan and avid comic book reader, I was absolutely thrilled by the exciting revelations at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con! The announcement of Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Fantastic Four: Four Steps” film left me in awe. I have fond memories of the Fantastic Four comics from my childhood and have been eagerly waiting for their return to the big screen.
At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel’s highly anticipated panel brought several surprises. One of these surprises was the unveiling of the title for the upcoming “Fantastic Four” movie. Set to release the following summer, this film will be named “Fantastic Four: Four Steps.” During the panel, it was also announced that Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino would score the film’s music.
Matt Shakman will be at the helm of the upcoming film, featuring Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing. Due to Disney’s acquisition of Fox, the Fantastic Four have now entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Early this week, Pascal unveiled the first cast image on Instagram with the tagline, “Our initial assignment.”
I’m excited to share that John Malkovich and Paul Walter Hauser are set to join the main cast in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) version of the Fantastic Four. I’ve been a fan since their first appearance on the big screen back in 2005, featuring Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd, and Michael Chiklis. The 2015 reboot with Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell didn’t meet my expectations. But now, we’re just a few years away from another chance to witness the Fantastic Four in action! Mark your calendars for July 25, 2025, when this new adaptation hits theaters. Keep an eye out for more details as we get closer to the release date.
