Marvel Is Reportedly Eyeing Destin Daniel Cretton To Direct 'Spider-Man 4'

As a die-hard Marvel fan with over two decades of comic book history under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement at the prospect of Destin Daniel Cretton directing Spider-Man 4! Having just recently blown us away with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, his talent for blending action, drama, and heart is undeniable.

It appears a new Spider-Man movie featuring Tom Holland might be in production, with Marvel reportedly considering Destin Daniel Cretton, director of “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” for the role. According to reports from Variety, an insider close to the Shang-Chi sequel’s production has confirmed that Spider-Man 4 is currently at the top of the studio’s to-do list. Cretton is currently working on the sequel to Shang-Chi.

2021’s final scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home showed Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, using magic to make the world forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. This means that Zendaya’s character, MJ, and Jacob Batalon’s character, Ned, will no longer remember that Peter Parker revealed his secret identity to them.

Although the specifics of the storyline remain undecided, it’s been verified that Tom Holland is set to appear in another Spider-Man movie. As of now, neither Sony nor Marvel has issued any statements regarding this development. Keep an eye out for further updates.
