It’s been found that there’s a legitimate method for achieving an ‘aimbot’-style experience in the console version of Marvel Rivals, and surprisingly, it’s quite straightforward. Reddit user u/Klw3ll shared this trick on the Marvel Rivals subreddit, which simplifies aiming significantly, and what’s even better is that it adheres to the rules established by NetEase, making it a completely LEGITIMATE practice.
To set up a “simulated aiming assistant” using only your regular Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 controller, navigate to the following settings: Controller > Combat > Stick > Advanced Settings. Here’s how you can do it.
- Aim Assist Box Size: 20 (18–22 is also fine)
- Strength: 90
- Drop Ease: around 0
- Disable Aim Assist at Max Dead Zone
- Increase Horizontal Max Dead Zone Boost
- Linear Curve Type
As a gamer, I find this configuration incredibly comfortable for controlling my character in intense battles. The increased sensitivity makes it a breeze for characters like Punisher and Hela, known as hit-scan players, to swiftly track down quick enemies such as Iron Man or Iron Fist during chaotic firefights. It’s also an ideal setup for players who often find themselves struggling to regain their aim on targets.
Just a heads up: I haven’t had a chance to verify this technique works for controllers experiencing stick drift, so if you’re dealing with that issue, it might indicate additional concerns you should address.
Those who experimented with these configurations on console found remarkable improvements, even if some speculate it might simply be a matter of suggestion. Nevertheless, given its ease, you may as well give it a shot and form your own opinion.

NetEase has unequivocally stated: employing external tools or data trackers may lead to penalties, such as account suspensions. The development team is taking a firm stance against gamers misusing the game’s mechanics, with the recent example being the patch for the infamous “Lord Farming” exploit in Doom Match.
NetEase is attentively considering player suggestions, and although the supposedly “legal” aimbot setup at present faces no consequences, it remains uncertain for how long this will continue, or whether a future update may alter its status.
