Marvel Rivals: How To Get Permanent Brain Blast Emote

Marvel Rivals has unveiled an upcoming event with a humorous twist called Giant-Size Brain Blast. Participants have the opportunity to win unique items as rewards, which can be kept in their cosmetic collection forever.

For those wanting to take their BobbleHeads out of Brain Blast mode, there’s an easily attainable “Brain Explosion” emote available.

How to Earn the Brain Blast Emote

As reported by Rivals Insider Miller Ross, the Brain Blast emote can be acquired by playing a total of 10 games in the Giant-Size Brain Blast mode. Yet, keep in mind that you’re only able to assign this emote to one character, so make sure to select the character you want to endow with a massive brain carefully.

Brain Blast’s Big Head Mode can be used for gameplay, but the emote feature seems to only function as an emote. Using the Big Head appearance in-game might actually create a disadvantage because it significantly increases the chances of getting hit by a headshot due to the larger target size.

Other Rewards

At the Brain Blast event, players who excel in the game’s leaderboards for a specific mode will receive unique achievement badges. The top 10 players will get the “Planet-Scale Brain” badge; the top 100 will secure the “Colossal Brain” badge; and the top 500 will win the “Huge Brain” badge.

These title cards are often attributed to players without requiring much effort from them for redemption, provided they maintain a top position in the leaderboard.

The Battle Rages On

It’s intriguing that both NetEase and Overwatch are removing game modes around the same timeframe. While Overwatch’s Stadium mode is more complex, NetEase’s ‘Big Head Mode’ seems to be overshadowed by it. However, given the rapid popularity of Rivals, announcing a Big Head Mode so casually could come across as if NetEase is taunting Blizzard in some way.

1) The massive brain-bursting event happens in two phases, first on April 25, followed by the second on May 2. Meanwhile, Marvel Rivals can now be enjoyed on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers.
