At last, Season 1 is making its way to Marvel Rivals! Notably, the main antagonist in this season will be Dracula during “Eternal Night Falls,” but what’s more exciting is the anticipated appearance of the Fantastic Four as well.
In the game, there’s been quite a few references to complex backstories. However, players are curious about how Sue Storm and Namor might interact, given their passionate past depicted in the comics.
What’s Up with the Invisible Woman and Namor?
Since the revelation that the Fantastic Four would join the game, fans can’t help but ponder about the potential dynamics between Sue (and possibly Reed) and Namor.
In the comic books, Sue has had a history that almost led to a relationship with Namor, who occasionally engages in flirtatious exchanges with her. This dynamic serves to introduce some romantic tension between Sue and her long-term partner Reed Richards, as Reed’s intense focus on science often strains their relationship. In the movies, Namor is now king of Talokan instead of Atlantis, but his role remains similar.
Currently, the situation revolves around Namor openly expressing feelings towards Sue, which she’s rejected due to her loyalty to Reed. However, it’s been hinted that Sue harbors feelings for Namor as well.
What Can We Expect from the Game?
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but fantasize about the potential banter between Sue and Namor in Marvel Rivals. Although we don’t anticipate deep conversations between them, it would certainly add an exciting twist if they subtly flirt while on the same side. And let’s not forget the fun possibilities when they face off as adversaries!
Players are eager for a chance to witness a conversation between Namor and Reed Richards in the game. Many fans have been playfully mocking Reed for supposedly struggling with handling ‘Sue’ matters, which could result in some entertaining banter between him and the King of Atlantis.
If the creators behind Marvel Rivals are interested in exploring the relationship between Sue and Namor, they might consider introducing a joint ability or team-up for these characters. Currently, Namor only has team-ups with Jeff the Land Shark and Luna Snow, but given his rich comic book history with the Invisible Woman, it seems fitting that there should be some representation of this in the game as well.
Eternal Night Falls
The first season of Marvel Rivals is about to debut within the coming week, and along with it, there’s speculation that the Fantastic Four will make their appearance. It’s suggested that the developers might introduce the heroes in pairs, which could mean that only half of the team may show up at the beginning of the season, while the remaining members are expected to join around the mid-season mark.
Given the current rumors about character releases, it’s possible that Mr. Fantastic and Human Torch will be introduced first, given their well-established roles within the team. Fans might anticipate The Thing and the Invisible Woman appearing during the season’s midpoint, although these predictions are speculative, and the developers could unveil more characters before the official start of the season.
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be diving into Marvel Rivals Season 1 starting January 10th! This epic game is ready for action on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5, so get your controller at the ready!
