Following an extended period that seemed endless, and after numerous whispers and guesswork, Marvel’s original team is at long last making their appearance within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). We now have our inaugural trailer for Marvel Studios’ reimagining of this legendary group. Leading the cast is The Last of Us actor [actor’s name] as Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic, joined by Mission: Impossible star Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, aka The Invisible Woman, breakout talent Joseph Quinn from Stranger Things portraying Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, and Emmy Award-winning performer Ebon Moss-Bachrach from The Bear as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing. The Fantastic Four: First Steps will introduce these timeless superhero personalities into the MCU alongside characters such as Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and others, with the family poised to play a significant part in the franchise’s future. The video offers us the initial glimpse of the four main characters, who are known for their extraordinary abilities, living in a world that blends the past and future, particularly reminiscent of the 1960s. Marvel enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for the introduction of The Fantastic Four into the MCU ever since Disney purchased 21st Century Fox in 2019. It’s anticipated that these characters will first appear in their own unique universe, separate from the rest, before eventually teaming up with other superheroes in upcoming Avengers sequels. This was indeed confirmed by Marvel chief Kevin Feige in November.

At last, we are introducing the Fantastic Four from Marvel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Filming concludes next week, and the movie will be released next summer. After that, these characters will immediately join the upcoming Avengers films, which I’m extremely enthusiastic about for the future of the Fantastic Four.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps Is Due To Land in Theaters on July 25

The Incredible Four: Initial Strides is gearing up to be helmed by Matt Shakman, and features Pedro Pascal (known from The Last of Us, The Mandalorian) as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (from The Crown, Mission: Impossible – Fallout) as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (seen in Stranger Things, Gladiator 2) as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach (recognized from The Bear) as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Julia Garner (famous for Ozark) takes on the role of The Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson (notable in The Witch, The Green Knight) portrays Galactus. In a colorful 60s-style, futuristic setting, the series ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ presents Marvel’s original superhero family – Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing). They are confronted with their toughest challenge yet, as they struggle to reconcile their heroic duties with the ties of their family. With Earth under threat from a ravenous cosmic deity named Galactus, portrayed by Ralph Ineson, and his mysterious herald, Silver Surfer played by Julia Garner, matters become even more personal when Galactus decides to consume the entire planet.

The movie titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is slated for release on the 25th of July, 2025. This film is a part of Phase Six in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). During this phase, other movies such as “Avengers: Doomsday,” set to premiere on May 1, 2026, an unnamed Spider-Man sequel planned for July 24, 2026, and “Avengers: Secret Wars” scheduled for May 7, 2027, will also be released.
