There’s been much anticipation among fans for quite some time to witness The First Contact War unfold on screen in the context of Mass Effect. This significant event is widely regarded as the catalyst for the series’ events. Notably, the show’s present writer was recently seen perusing Mass Effect: Revelation on Instagram, a book set within that very war.

In our exploration of the cosmos via the Mass Relays, The First Contact War signified our initial meeting with extraterrestrial beings, specifically the Turians. This conflict was harsh and often misinterpreted, yielding no definitive winner and causing extensive losses on both sides. It stemmed from fear, misinterpretations, and political pressures.

To me, it seems ideally suited for the task at hand. It delves into intricate political landscapes and massive conflicts, yet what truly excites is its potential for artistic liberty. There’s an abundance of unresolved threads within that period of history, threads even the comics and supplementary material struggled to address. Moreover, Amazon Prime has already demonstrated success in space warfare, as showcased by The Expanse.

It worked really well for Fallout, so doing the same here would be great.

The franchise is renowned for its intricate, character-focused narratives, so any TV adaptation should strive to expand upon this legacy rather than simply replicate it.
