As players traverse the eastern part of the Kuttenburg area, they’ll encounter the Sedletz Monastery. Here, they’ll meet some Monks and Brother Morticus near a grave. Players can chat with the elderly fellow who speaks in verse, asking Henry to step into the Chapel to gather scattered bones and tidy up the area. He also asks for the bones and skulls to be arranged separately, creating pyramids with them. This initiates the “Thou Art But Dust” side quest.

Gathering The Bones In Thou Art But Dust Quest

After Brother Morticus assigns the quest, make your way into the Chapel. Be sure to steer clear of the trapdoor situated centrally. Your initial objective is to gather all the scattered bones on the floor. Begin by navigating towards the western corner, where you’ll discover two shelves laden with skulls and bones. Empty these shelves and also eliminate the nearby bone heap. Subsequently, proceed to the southern corner and accumulate more bones from a shelf and two additional bone heaps located in that area.

In the northern part of the area, there’s another heap of bones, accompanied by a couple more piles that need clearing. After that, in the eastern section, grab skulls from two different shelves and finish clearing out all the bone piles. Don’t forget to gather any scattered bones near the pillars before moving on.

After you’ve collected all the bones scattered here, you will be able to engage with the pyramids. Arrange 28 regular skulls on one, followed by 26 fractured skulls on another. Then, place the 239 bones in their designated spot to move forward.

Where To Find The Remaining Bones In Thou Art But Dust Quest

Engage the central altar within the church to initiate a sequence where Henry descends into the crypt beneath, with Brother Morticus throwing down a flare. Investigate the crypt, gather every bone scattered throughout several chambers, then depart through the southern exit, rejoining the cemetery. Return to the church, interact with the obelisks, and arrange all the recovered bones therein.

If you have any extra bones, you can deposit them as well to free up inventory space.

Following this, your mission is to locate Brother Morticus, but you’ll learn from the gravedigger that he had passed away much earlier, even before Henry was born. The gravedigger will then examine the chapel to see what actions Henry has taken. Upon finishing his investigation, you will earn Craftsmanship XP, signifying the conclusion of the quest.
