Matt Pinfield Survives Coma, Gives Health Update: “Guys, I’m Alive!” (Exclusive)

Matt Pinfield, a well-known radio and television personality, has emerged from a coma and is making steady progress towards a full recovery. According to The Hollywood Reporter, they had a conversation with him after his stroke in January, and we’re happy to share that he has been discharged from the ICU and is currently receiving care at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles.

Hey there! It’s me, Pinfield, miraculously back and better than ever. I’ve been through a tough patch, but I’m determined to bounce back strong. For two long months, it seemed like I was asleep, leaving my friends with the heart-wrenching fear that they might be saying their final goodbyes. The doctors themselves thought I wouldn’t regain the ability to speak or walk again, but here I am, defying expectations!

While Pinfield was in the hospital, his eldest daughter Jessica took over temporary responsibility for both his medical and financial affairs. “She’s the one who saved my life,” Pinfield said of his daughter. “She looked after me.

The radio host from SoCal revealed that he came incredibly close to not surviving, as he fought off pneumonia and was placed on a ventilator. Miraculously, after recovering, he left everyone amazed by discussing music and reciting lyrics from Procol Harum’s songs with his friends.

He explained that his friends had mentioned he kept discussing ‘A Whiter Shade of Pale’ and they struggled to follow along. They remarked, ‘Indeed, he’s still quite intellectual.’

Following his release from the ICU in late February, Pinfield has been absent from social media. However, he’s been made aware that his friends and fellow musicians have shown their support for him during this time.

Shirley Manson from Garbage posted on Facebook in January, not long after Pinfield’s stroke, expressing her support. She admired his extensive music knowledge and infectious energy. She referred to him as highly respected not only within the musical community but also beyond.

She stated that for many years, he has advocated for numerous artists who might have gone unnoticed in the mainstream media and the current American music scene would be vastly altered without his discernment and impact.
