Mattel Combines Film, TV Divisions Under Robbie Brenner

Under a new brand called Mattel Studios, Mattel has consolidated their film and TV initiatives. The head of Mattel Films, Robbie Brenner, has now taken on a broader role as both the president and Chief Content Officer of Mattel Studios. He was previously serving as the president of Mattel Films.

At Mattel Studios, Jennifer Breslow has been appointed as the head of television, while Darian Lanzetta and Tom McNulty take on the roles of senior executives. All three individuals will be supervised by Brenner, who in turn will continue to report to Ynon Kreiz, the chairman and CEO.

Lanzetta is now part of Mattel’s team, having spent 12 years at CAA. During this time, he collaborated extensively with Mattel on various projects such as Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, Bob the Builder, and Masters of the Universe.

Tom McNulty has moved on to a toy company from MC Squared Media, boasting film credits like The Spectacular Now and The Stand In. Previously, he worked at Global Produce, Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment, and Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions.

The company’s cinematic slate includes numerous films based on properties such as Barney, Thomas & Friends, Hot Wheels, and Viewfinder.
