Meet actor who debuted in 2017, worked with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and is grandson of a Bollywood legend

Youngsters growing up in B-town, with roots in prominent film families, are frequently pressured to pursue a career in showbiz. Their initial move is usually to work alongside established directors and absorb the industry’s secrets from seasoned professionals. This path was followed by Aadar Jain, who happens to be the grandson of Bollywood icon Raj Kapoor. Let’s delve deeper!

Although Aadar Jain has only one film under his belt, he’s been a topic of interest due to his ties with the prominent Kapoor family. He is the grandson of the revered Hindi cinema figure, Raj Kapoor, and was born to Manoj Jain, an investment banker, and Reema Kapoor.

In the year 2016, a budding actor with ambition began his journey by working alongside Karan Johar in the musical romantic drama film titled “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”. This successful movie featured Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in prominent roles.

In 2017, a year after, Jain stepped into acting for the first time, working alongside debutante Anya Singh in Habib Faisal’s musical drama production, Qaidi Band, which was produced by Aditya Chopra. A few years down the line, he got another opportunity to demonstrate his acting skills in the 2021 comedy film called Hello Charlie.

The film was created by Pankaj Saraswat, who both wrote and directed it, and was produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under their production company, Excel Entertainment. In this engaging production, Jain appeared alongside actors such as Jackie Shroff, Shhloka Pandit, Elnaaz Norouzi, and Rajpal Yadav on screen.

This individual belongs to the fourth generation of actors within the Kapoor family and shares cousin status with actors such as Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Zahan Kapoor. Additionally, he has a sibling, Armaan Jain, who is an actor, assistant director, and television personality in his own right.

Instead of following in his family’s footsteps as accomplished actors, Jain chose to attend acting classes at the New York Film Academy in New York and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in California on his own.

In his personal life, Aadar Jain is married to his beloved, Alekha Advani. On February 19, 2025, they held an extravagant mehendi ceremony that was graced by many famous faces from the Kapoor family and other Bollywood stars.
