As a seasoned gamer of both music and virtual worlds, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement upon hearing about Megan Thee Stallion‘s impending new album. Having grown up in the vibrant city of Houston, much like our beloved Hottie, I’ve always had a soft spot for artists who bring that Southern charm and swagger to the forefront.
Megan Thee Stallion is seemingly preparing to drop a followup to her latest self-titled album.
In an Instagram post, the Houston Hottie hinted at the upcoming arrival of her new project by releasing a brief teaser that features a butterfly transformation, echoing the serpent motifs from her previous work titled “MEGAN“. She ended her post with “Stay tuned”, without disclosing further details.
Megan went on to debut at the third spot on the Billboard 200 chart in 2024, marking the biggest opening for a female rap album that year by unit sales. Additionally, it became the first top 10 rap album by a woman to chart in 2024. This 18-track project includes collaborations with Kyle Richh on “B.A.S.”, Japanese hip-hop artist Yuki Chiba on “Mamushi”, GloRilla on “Accent”, Victoria Monét on “Spin” and Bun B and the late Pimp C, who are collectively known as UGK.
Right after slaying my hosting gig at the 2024 MTV VMAs, and dropping my new single “Neva Play” featuring RM, I can’t wait to share my upcoming teaser!
