Featuring fan favorite Melanie Scrofano portraying rural police officer Dana Cypress, the series “Revival” debuts on SYFY on June 12. This isn’t your typical undead show; it’s a unique blend of zombie-like characters. Inspired by the critically acclaimed Image Comics serial from creators Tim Seeley and Mike Norton, it combines a rural noir murder mystery with a town-wide resurrection event. In this small Wisconsin community, deceased residents are coming back to life, retaining their original personalities.
In the story named “Revival,” the situation creates a lot of mystery in a small town, as Dana’s sister turns out to be one of the recent victims. It’s already challenging to solve a murder when you only have suspects who are still alive, but with a fresh batch of resurrected residents wandering around, dealing with death and detective work is about to take on a completely new interpretation.
