This could potentially be depicted in the upcoming movie titled “Midnight Sons,” with Mephisto serving as the main antagonist. This suggests that Marvel Studios may be planning a significant event on par with “Avengers: Endgame” for the character of Mephisto, who has been featured in numerous storylines throughout the years.
In this alternate universe portrayal, Mephisto seizes control of Las Vegas, making it a living nightmare on Earth. As a result, the Avengers are corrupted and become his evil minions. Meanwhile, the Midnight Sons sneak into his stronghold with the aim of overthrowing him to prevent his tyranny from spreading further across the globe. It’s important to note that, as is often the case in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), this story will not be a direct adaptation of its source material.
In a Marvel Comics storyline, the characters Blade, Ghost Rider, Elsa Bloodstone, Man-Thing, Moon Knight, and Doctor Voodoo make up the Midnight Sons team, assembled by Wong for the purpose of battling Mephisto. It remains undetermined how this group might adapt in the MCU, but there are rumors suggesting that Ghost Rider will assume leadership of the Midnight Sons in the upcoming films.
