Mercedes-Benz unveiled its inaugural electric estate vehicle, the all-new CLA Shooting Brake, in March 2026. This innovative model combines performance, utility, and state-of-the-art EQ technology while offering an extended WLTP-estimated range of up to 470 miles. In as little as 10 minutes, the vehicle can gain a range of up to 192 miles with high-speed charging, ensuring practicality for daily use along with efficiency at higher speeds.

Stepping into the CLA Shooting Brake, I’m greeted by a sleek panoramic roof that sparkles like a starry night sky and an eye-catching front panel illuminated with 142 LED stars. This beauty debuts with a sophisticated, forward-thinking design. The powerful 85 kWh battery drives a new two-speed transmission and an electric engine system, delivering up to 260 kW of power. Whether it’s rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, the acceleration is swift, reaching 0–62 mph in just 6.8 seconds. The cabin offers luxury at its finest with a floating MBUX Superscreen, powered by the Unity Game Engine, and an enhanced voice assistant courtesy of ChatGPT.

The Shooting Brake is designed for practicality, boasting a spacious cargo area that ranges from 455 to 1,290 liters, a front trunk of 101 liters, equipped with roof rails and capable of towing up to nearly 4,000 lbs. Next year, hybrid versions equipped with 48-volt systems and various trim options are anticipated to be added to the lineup.
