As a long-time fan who’s witnessed MF Doom’s meteoric rise and tragic fall from the hip-hop scene, I can say that this reissue of “Mm..Food” feels like a culinary symphony to my ears. This album was always a masterpiece, but the addition of remixes by legends like Madlib, Jake One, and Ant adds a whole new layer of flavor that’s hard to resist.
To mark its 20th anniversary, MF Doom’s 2004 album, titled “Mm..Food,” has been reissued. This was the fifth studio creation of the artist and it was a conceptual work where food symbolized real-world circumstances.
On November 15th, I’m excited to announce that my album, getting a fresh release through Rhymesayers Entertainment, will be out! It comes packed with some fantastic remixes from musical legends like Madlib, Jake One, and Ant from the hip-hop group Atmosphere. Can’t wait for you all to check it out!
The revised LP by Sam Rodriguez features fresh cover artwork depicting the late rapper in a diner booth. It will be available as a two-record vinyl collection, with only 1,500 copies being manufactured. A QR code on each record leads to exclusive interviews with MF Doom directly.
Prior to the album’s launch, you can stream Madlib’s remix of “One Beer” right now. On November 15, the re-released album “Mm..Food” will be available in its entirety.
