Michael B. Jordan Teases ‘Creed 4’ but Says the Wait Could Be Longer Than Expected

Michael B. Jordan has announced some news about the upcoming chapter in the Creed spin-off series, confirming that Creed 4 is indeed in the works…but it may take some time. Jordan initially brought the Creed spin-off to life back in 2015, introducing us to Adonis “Donnie” Creed, a determined boxer who is the son of the late Apollo Creed, portrayed by Carl Weathers as the world heavyweight champion. Seeking advice from Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa, the Creed franchise has since established its own niche as a timeless sports drama masterpiece.

Currently speaking with GQ, Michael B. Jordan has shared that he’s currently pondering over the plot for “Creed 4.” As the actor is set to direct again following his directorial debut in the 2023 release of “Creed 3,” he’s committed to ensuring that the sequel lives up to expectations.

Indeed, we left room for growth on that franchise with the fourth film. I’m not rushing into making another movie; instead, let’s allow some time to pass so there’s anticipation and a longing for it. Once the perfect moment arrives, I’ll revisit the project.

Will Jonathan Majors Return for ‘Creed 4’?

In regards to the upcoming Creed 4, specifics are still undisclosed. However, the prequel Creed 3 introduces an enigmatic figure from Adonis’ past, Damian “Diamond Dame” Anderson. Portrayed by Jonathan Majors, who has experienced professional repercussions following a guilty verdict for two misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment, this character surfaces to confront Adonis. Their paths diverged during their teen years when Adonis physically attacked a man, leading to Damian’s imprisonment while Adonis managed to evade punishment.

After a resurgence in his acting career, it appears that Majors’ bodybuilding drama, Magazine Dreams, is finally set for release on March 21, 2025. The question remains, could he reprise his role as “Diamond Dame” in Creed 4? The two actors reconciled at the end of the previous sequel, and Jordan has publicly expressed support for Majors. In fact, when asked if they would collaborate again, Jordan replied affirmatively. So, whether it’s in Creed 4 or another project, there’s a strong possibility we’ll see these two actors together on screen once more. The Rocky and Creed franchises have a history of bringing back former adversaries as allies, after all.

Currently, Michael B. Jordan is slated to act alongside himself in Ryan Coogler’s upcoming horror film titled “Sinners.” Joining him in this project are Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, Li Jun Li, and Delroy Lindo. In “Sinners,” the twin brothers, played by Jordan, return to their hometown where an ancient evil is lurking in anticipation of their arrival. The release date for this film is set for April 18, 2025.
