As a long-time NCIS fan and someone who has followed the intriguing “will they, won’t they” dynamic between Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), I couldn’t be more thrilled to hear that they will be reunited on screen once again in the new spinoff series, NCIS: Tony & Ziva. The prospect of seeing them together again after a decade has me eagerly counting down the days until its release, although we don’t yet have an official premiere date.
For the first time in a decade, fans of NCIS can look forward to the reunion of Michael Weatherly’s character, Tony DiNozzo, and Cote de Pablo’s character, Ziva David, on the small screen through their new spinoff, NCIS: Tony & Ziva, which will be available on Paramount+. Although we are yet to learn if this series will debut in 2024 or later, every piece of news brings anticipation for longtime fans of the “Tiva” couple. Their romantic tension was a significant element in the CBS drama, and Weatherly’s recent social media post has left me eagerly counting down the days until we can witness their reunion.
The production of “NCIS: Tony & Ziva” is now underway, with Michael Weatherly providing a sneak peek from Budapest, Hungary. This historic city is among the primary filming spots for the new spinoff series, and based on Weatherly’s Instagram post, he seems to be quite pleased with the location selection. He captioned his photo:

The actor portraying Tony DiNozzo expressed his eagerness for the “stunning vistas and audible delights” of the location, which has rekindled my anticipation for what’s ahead in NCIS: Tony & Ziva. With the show’s international setting revealed, I’m eager to explore some of Hungary amidst the expected thrills.
Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo have been absent from NCIS for some time now. De Pablo departed the series during Season 11, while Weatherly left two seasons later in the finale of Season 13. His character, Tony, decided to leave to take care of their daughter Tali, as it was believed that Ziva had been killed. However, in a shocking twist at the end of Season 16, it was revealed that Ziva was indeed still alive. As a result, de Pablo made an appearance in several episodes the following season as she worked to find the person who had forced her to fake her death.
NCIS: Tony and Ziva – An aptly titled spin-off indeed, although Michael Weatherly himself acknowledges it’s not perfect – will bring the threesome back together in Paris. Unfortunately, it seems there won’t be many leisurely moments for them to enjoy croissants by the Eiffel Tower. Instead, they’ll find themselves on the run throughout Europe as Tony’s security firm faces an unexpected attack.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that in this new spinoff of NCIS, we’ll meet fresh characters who join the universe of the CBS drama. Among them is Tali, a character we were introduced to as a toddler back in Season 13. Now, she’s all grown up and is a pre-teen. In the Tiva series, Tali brings a new twist of trouble for her parents to deal with, as Michael Weatherly hinted.
Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo’s anticipated on-screen reunion for “NCIS” has been given a 10-episode green light by Paramount+. This announcement, accompanied by a photo of Weatherly in Budapest, only intensifies my eagerness for the upcoming series. Until then, fans can savor the iconic Tiva dynamic by streaming previous seasons of “NCIS” on Paramount+ – a must-have subscription for any dedicated viewer.
