Michael Weatherly Looks Dapper In New NCIS: Tony And Ziva Set Photo, And Also Hot (Literally)

As a longtime NCIS fan, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming spinoff, NCIS: Tony & Ziva. Eight years since we last saw Tony DiNozzo on screen and now he’s back, not just for a brief cameo but as a leading man alongside the enigmatic Ziva David!

Previously in 2024, Michael Weatherly made an appearance on NCIS, reprising his role as Tony DiNozzo in the episode “The Stories We Leave Behind,” a tribute to the late David McCallum. This was Weatherly’s first portrayal of Tony in eight years, and fans of NCIS are delighted to know that it won’t be his last. At present, Weatherly is starring in the spinoff series NCIS: Tony & Ziva alongside Cote de Pablo (Ziva David), and he recently shared a photo from the set of the upcoming Paramount+ exclusive show where he appears both stylish and quite literally hot.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva has been filming in Budapest since July, and in this latest update on how the production is going, Weatherly posted the below photo on his Instagram page:

Michael Weatherly, the actor who played Tony DiNozzo on NCIS: Tony & Ziva, has once again showcased his fashion sense with a chic post this year. In this latest snap, he exudes elegance in an eye-catching outfit that deviates from the usual black or gray suit jackets by opting for a stylish blue one. Given it was a sweltering day on set in Budapest, it’s understandable Weatherly needed to cool down a bit amidst the heat, even though wearing such dapper clothes in such weather may make him sweat profusely.

Previously on NCIS, Tony made an appearance in Season 21, while Cote de Pablo reprised her role as Ziva David in the Season 16 finale and continued to appear throughout Season 17. Notably, NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be their first joint performance since the second episode of Season 11, where Cote de Pablo’s character, Ziva, made her final appearance as a series regular. Michael Weatherly, who played Tony, left the main cast in the Season 13 finale, during which he met Tali, his daughter with Ziva, whom he was unaware of until then.

Although it is a little strange that the show is called NCIS: Tony & Ziva considering that its title characters no longer work for that law enforcement agency, that’s just a minor nitpick, and needless to say that these two won’t be lacking for excitement in their lives. The spinoff will follow Tony and Ziva going on the run in Europe after Tony’s security company is attacked. We’ll also get to spend more time with Tali, who’s now a 12-year-old girl being played by Isla Gee , amongst a lineup of brand-new faces in the NCIS-verse.

The premiere date for NCIS: Tony & Ziva is still undisclosed, but as soon as we get that information, we’ll be sure to share it along with any significant updates about the spinoff. On the other hand, NCIS Season 22 and the new prequel series NCIS: Origins will both debut on Monday, October 14 on CBS.
