Michelle Randolph, recognized for her roles in the Taylor Sheridan series “1923” and “Landman”, is currently in discussions to feature in “Malibu”, a chilling horror-thriller that Tod Williams will helm for Screen Gems.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m excited to share that I’m part of the team behind the production of an upcoming low-budget thriller. This project is being brought to life by Roy Lee and Steven Schneider, under their banner, Spooky Pictures.
The specifics of the storyline are being hidden away for now, but it can be categorized as a suspenseful thriller with elements reminiscent of the chilling sub-category of horror that delves into underground terrors. Production is scheduled to begin towards the end of this year.
This project brings together Williams, who directed “Paranormal Activity 2”, and Schneider, who served both as a producer and an executive producer for the successful horror series that film belonged to.
(Here, I have rephrased the sentence to make it clearer and easier to understand by using simpler language and clarifying the roles of each person involved in the project.)
It’s quite intriguing to see these two prominent figures in the horror genre, Lee and Schneider, collaborating. Last year, they jointly released “Late Night with the Devil,” a chilling supernatural horror-thriller featuring David Dastmalchian, as well as “Strange Darling,” a critically acclaimed thriller that propelled director JT Mollner into the spotlight in Hollywood.
Presently, Spooky is working on a chilling adaptation of Scott Snyder’s horror comic titled “Dungeon”. Additionally, Lee and Schneider are involved in the production team for “The Long Walk”, an upcoming cinematic adaption of Stephen King’s tale, which is set to premiere in theaters on September 12th.
Randolph has caught Hollywood’s attention due to two significant roles in two prominent TV series by creator Taylor Sheridan. She appeared as Liz Strafford, alongside Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, and Brandon Sklenar, in the spin-off 1923, part of Taylor Sheridan’s extensive Yellowstone TV empire. Subsequently, she secured a role in Landman, where she portrays the daughter of Billy Bob Thornton’s main character. The series, airing on Paramount+, was renewed for a second season in March.
The rising actress also has a role in Scream 7, which will be released in February 2026.
Randolph is repped by UTA and D2 Management.
