Mk.gee Makes ‘Saturday Night Live’ Debut

As a gamer who’s been through countless virtual tours and concerts, I can confidently say that Mk.gee’s SNL performance was a level-up in my personal concert-viewing experience. His energy, coupled with the raw talent of Zack Sekoff and Andrew Aged, made “Alesis” and “ROCKMAN” feel like they were performed live just for me. Mk.gee is readying to close out his breakout year, marked by milestones including his acclaimed debut album Two Star & The Dream Police and a sold-out world tour in support of the album. The enigmatic New Jersey-based musician continued his major 2024 with his Saturday Night Live debut, taking to the New York City stage as this past weekend’s musical guest, joining host Bill Burr to perform two of his standout songs.

Initially, he graced the stage of Saturday Night Live to perform an exceptional rendition of “Alesis” by the band Two Star & The Dream Police.

In his second number, Mk.gee showcased his latest track following “Two Star“, titled “ROCKMAN”. During this performance, musicians Zack Sekoff and Andrew Aged provided backing instrumentals on stage alongside him. You can listen to both performances in the videos below on YouTube.

Mark Gee’s performance on Saturday Night Live during its season 50 marks a busy time for him, as he’s right in the midst of his ongoing worldwide tour, with upcoming performances in Australia scheduled for the following month.

Ever since the album was launched, Mk.gee’s primary concern has shifted towards organizing the tour rather than producing fresh music. Only two new singles, “ROCKMAN” and “Lonely Night” in August, have been released since the LP came out.
