As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Monica Austin’s appointment as the new Chief Marketing Officer at Blizzard Entertainment has me utterly thrilled! As a thrilled admirer, I’m excited to announce that I’ve recently taken on the role of Chief Marketing Officer at the renowned gaming publisher, Blizzard Entertainment!

In his position, Austin manages marketing teams across all game titles under Blizzard, including the widely recognized series such as Warcraft, Diablo, and Overwatch. Blizzard Entertainment, a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard (which was bought by Microsoft in October 2023), is the company behind these titles.

Prior to her tenure at Blizzard in June 2024, Austin served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Linktree. This company specializes in providing link-in-bio tools. Before that, she held the position of global head of marketing and communications at Calm. Additionally, Austin spearheaded the worldwide content expansion go-to-market strategy for popular Netflix series such as “Stranger Things”, “13 Reasons Why”, and “Orange is the New Black”. She also contributed to Meta during the debuts of Instagram Stories and the Oculus Rift. Notably, she has been acknowledged on the Forbes 30 Under 30, Ad Age 40 Under 40, and as a Business Insider CMO to Watch.
