Monoloot mixes up Monopoly Go and D&D, out now in soft launch for select regions

  • Monoloot is a new dice-based board battler from My.Games
  • Think Monopoly Go mixed with D&D
  • It’s currently out in soft-launch, but only in the Philippines

As someone who has spent countless hours rolling dice and strategizing in board games, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation when it comes to Monoloot: Dice and Journey. This game seems like a delightful blend of my beloved Monopoly Go with the depth and fantasy of Dungeons & Dragons, all wrapped up in a package by the creators of Rush Royale and Left to Survive.

If you’ve previously landed on the Monopoly Go square, you might find yourself yearning for another go at the dice-rolling gameplay and board game adventures. However, before diving back in, it might be wise to include something else on your schedule first. The reason being is that the creators of games such as Rush Royale and Left to Survive, My.Games, have now introduced their own spin on the dice-rolling genre with Monoloot.

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve recently discovered Monoloot: Dice and Journey, currently soft-launched in Brazil and the Philippines for Android users like myself. This game takes me on an adventure in a universe reminiscent of Dungeons & Dragons, but with a unique twist on dice and mechanics.

This game features role-playing game (RPG) style battles, castle construction, and character enhancement to create a strong team of your own. Additionally, the vibrant graphics that blend 3D and 2D elements, along with obvious tributes to well-known tabletop RPGs, make it a game worth keeping an eye on, in my opinion.

Monopoly Gone

In our latest podcast discussion (regrettably, not captured on tape), we touched upon an intriguing point: The game Monopoly Go, a significant success over the past year, appears to be losing some of its initial popularity. It’s not that it has become disliked, but the rapid growth fueled by its extensive marketing campaign seems to be slowing down noticeably.

It’s quite intriguing that My.Games is now exploring the idea, considering the moment. However, given the positive response to the dice mechanics in Monopoly Go, it makes sense for them to innovate within the genre by leveraging those mechanics.

Regarding the latest launches, if you’re hesitant or reside outside of the Philippines, why not spice things up a bit? Give some of the top five fresh mobile games from our weekly list a try as a starting point!
