- Monster Hunter Now season three is right around the corner
- There’s new monsters, a new weapon and more
- Oh, and the addition of cooking, to give you an even bigger boost!
As a seasoned Monster Hunter veteran with countless hours spent slaying beasts and crafting weapons in the mainline games, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the impending arrival of Monster Hunter Now Season 3! The addition of cooking is a long-awaited feature that’s sure to spice up my hunting expeditions.
Enthusiasts of Monster Hunter can now look forward to the imminent arrival of season 3 of its much-loved ARG (Alternate Reality Game). Alongside the introduction of a new weapon and, as expected, new beasts, this season will also incorporate a long-awaited element: culinary skills! Yes, you heard it right; every Monster Hunter should prepare for the essential art of cooking.
As a dedicated fan, I must admit that the culinary aspects in mainline Monster Hunter games have always been a delightful part of the gameplay, providing various stat boosts. However, with the absence of those adorable Palico companions to cook for us, players in Monster Hunter Now will need to handle the cooking duties themselves. At this point, specifics about the game are scarce, but considering its similarity to previous games, we might anticipate a process involving ingredient collection followed by cooking, which could resemble driftsmelting.
As a gamer, here’s how I might put it: “You know those beasties giving you a hard time? Expect to see Magnamalo, Rajang, and Aknosom prowling around this time. However, some others like Radobaan and Banbaro are taking a break for now, but don’t worry, you can still track them down during the urgent quests in season 3.”
A monster of a tale
By the way, the latest armament is called the Heavy Bowgun. For those who prefer not to charge up close and personal with large weapons, perhaps this will appeal more. However, even if cooking doesn’t seem like a significant feature at first glance, it’s likely that some players will be thrilled by its inclusion.
