As a seasoned Monster Hunter veteran with countless hours spent slaying fearsome beasts across various iterations of the franchise, I can confidently say that 2025 is shaping up to be an unparalleled year for fans like myself. The recent Monster Hunter Wilds Beta was merely a tantalizing taste of what’s to come, and now with the announcement of Monster Hunter Outlanders, Capcom has once again raised the bar for monster-slaying mayhem.
Capcom is all set to make 2025 an outstanding year for Monster Hunter enthusiasts. The latest Monster Hunter Wilds Beta has left longtime series fans awestruck, and now Capcom has astonished its dedicated fanbase yet again with the announcement of Monster Hunter Outlanders, slated for mobile release soon. The reveal trailer features a logo collaboration between TiMi and Capcom, potentially hinting at Tencent’s role in Monster Hunter Outlanders.
In this rephrased version: The trailer displayed a Hunter wearing the Rathalos armor, and it also presented the fierce Rathian monster, a character from the Monster Hunter series. Additionally, there was a brief scene of what appeared to be another player or non-player character (NPC), along with a tiny monkey that seems to function like Palicoes in the game.
Additionally, the Monster Hunter Outlanders X account disclosed additional insights, encompassing combat strategies, certain beasts like Rathian and Anjanath, and the comeback of the adorable and clever Palico companions.
Although it’s been confirmed that the Outlanders series will make its way onto mobile platforms, our enthusiastic team, being avid followers of this franchise, is now speculating on potential connections between Outlanders and the main storylines within the game series.
In a recent discussion, our senior editor Alister Kennedy pointed out that “Outlanders should have a stronger link with the Wilds”, as Outlanders’ visuals and style seem quite similar to those found in Monster Hunter Wilds. Meanwhile, Kris Alfonte, our social media lead, expressed his hope that “Outlanders will become available on the Steam Deck”.
Unfortunately for mobile game enthusiasts, it seems that the faster-paced game, Monster Hunter Outlanders, might be more suited to the more potent and visually striking Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White.
In a delightful turn of events, the action-packed monster hunting game, Monster Hunters Outlanders, is making its way onto mobile devices. This addition to the gaming landscape is an extra treat for mobile gamers, following the latest update in Monster Hunter Now’s roadmap. Starting this December, a fresh season for the mobile AR game will introduce a novel weapon type, more monstrous creatures, and a new environment to explore. Season 5 of Monster Hunters Outlanders is expected to launch in Spring 2024, presumably after the debut of Monster Hunter Wilds.
