It seems the community’s request was met as Monster Hunter Wilds‘ Title Update 2 appears to have intensified the difficulty level for hunters noticeably. Players are finding themselves defeated frequently, resulting in numerous quest disappointments.
Two challenging new beasts, Lagiacrus and Seregios, are causing players some trouble. One of the reasons for this is that they dish out a substantial amount of damage, even to hunters who have fully upgraded armor. Furthermore, their health reserves are larger, which results in fights becoming prolonged affairs.
In my initial skirmish with a Tempered Lagiacrus, we found ourselves squared off against a whole group. One by one, we were taken down during the underwater battle, making it a highly perilous encounter. Given the restricted movement in this battle, I witnessed how swiftly and decisively the Lagiacrus decimated our entire team, ultimately leading to the quest’s failure. Surprisingly, even with Felyne Insurance in place, Lagi was able to eliminate all four of us.
In contrast, the formidable foe known as Tempered Seregios presents a different kind of challenge. Initially, encountering him in Monster Hunter Rise didn’t seem particularly intimidating, but in the Wilds, his intensity is amplified significantly. His talons inflict bleeding and deal substantial damage. My initial battle against Tempered Seregios was a whirlwind of unyielding bladescale attacks, leaving my team of random players in a state of frenzy as the bleeding status effect took hold. Despite having Felyne Insurance, even Tempered Steve proved strong enough to defeat our entire squad.
Absolutely true, this update for Monster Hunter Wilds‘ endgame is nothing short of fantastic! Battles against Lagiacrus and Seregios are thrilling encounters that truly justify the wait for Title Update 2. At present, there aren’t any fine-tuned strategies for these creatures, but for now, it’s a full-on, unbridled fight. Somehow, this raw, unfiltered experience only enhances the enjoyment of Monster Hunter Wilds like never before.

Revision of Title Update 2: This significant upgrade from Title Update 1 has drastically altered the way we view the game, primarily due to the incredibly engaging battles against Lagiacrus and Seregios. The 8-Star Quests have introduced a level of difficulty that momentarily overshadows Gore Magala and Mizutsune in terms of challenge.
Currently, gamers are thrilled by the mayhem as they’re being overpowered by these two monsters that have made a comeback. Though a few find their enhanced strength and larger health reserves disheartening, most within the community think positively about these improvements, considering them among Capcom’s finest. These updates have transformed elusive beasts into epic, memorable battles. The return of Lagiacrus is particularly significant for both novice and seasoned players alike.
Title Update 2 has added fresh monsters and multilayered weapons, giving Monster Hunter Worlds a more comprehensive feel. Now, it’s intriguing to ponder where Capcom might guide us in Update 3. A siege monster could be exciting, or even better, perhaps we’ll witness the emergence of an Elder Dragon.
