As a devoted fan, I revel in the liberating choice Monster Hunter Worlds offers: selecting any armor piece for specific body parts, and wielding not just one, but two weapons simultaneously! The thrill lies in continually pursuing materials from elusive monsters like Gore Magala – a challenging endeavor indeed.
During your missions or expeditions, it’s beneficial to carry different items that can aid in combat against creatures. Examples of such equipment include mantles, such as the Rocksteady Mantle. Yet, these aren’t the sole items offering statistical enhancements. Instead, you might also find useful gear that boosts your stats.
In this tutorial, you’ll discover the roles and acquisition methods for Powercharm and Armorcharm – essential tools from past Monster Hunter games that we’ll be working with herein. We’ll also cover the steps to equip these items onto your character.
Armorcharm
The Armorcharm is a protective charm you can keep on hand, enhancing your defensive capabilities. As the in-game description suggests, “Merely possessing this imbues your skin with a stony toughness.” Although it doesn’t provide a massive defense enhancement, its usefulness lies in reducing concerns about being quickly defeated by monsters.
Where to Get the Armorcharm
To get the Armorcharm, you’ll first have to advance in the game, eventually encountering characters named Cobb and Rex. Then, simply approach Alma, initiate a conversation with her by asking for a quest or checking her optional missions, and you should be able to find your path to acquiring the Armorcharm.
At HR 16, you should finish the side mission titled “Defend Injured Hollow”. This will involve tracking down and defeating a pair of Hirabamis. Following this successful quest, you’ll be rewarded with the Armorcharm!
Powercharm
The Powercharm is a magical talisman that enhances your offensive abilities. According to its description, simply possessing this artifact infuses you with demonic power, a fact you’ll observe when you examine your weapon’s attack statistics while it’s in your possession. This enhancement typically adds between 5-10% damage, which can be quite beneficial.
Where to Get the Powercharm
Similar to the Armorcharm, the Powercharm can be earned by finishing a side mission. Following the conclusion of “Secure Wounded Hollow,” Rex will assign you another task involving the hunt of two Ajarakans within Wounded Hollow. This quest is known as “As Gatekeeper” and necessitates a Hunter Rank of 16. Upon successful completion of this Optional Quest, you’ll be rewarded with the Powercharm!

How to Activate the Effects
To make the Armorcharm and Powercharm work, move them to either your inventory bar or pouch. You can accomplish this by navigating to your character’s personal space or pop-up camp, selecting “Transfer Items,” and then choosing to send them to your “Inventory Pouch.
It’s possible that you might have acquired these two charms without realizing it, as they were likely absorbed directly into your chest area instead of being noticed. So, double-check them to ensure you’re making the best use of your build configurations.
