As a fan and admirer of SALXCO and its illustrious roster of talented artists, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead under Lindsay Unwin‘s leadership as CEO. With her 15 years of experience within the company, it’s clear that she has earned this well-deserved promotion.
On Friday (December 27th), artist management firm SALXCO revealed its fresh leadership team, with a new CEO and two co-presidents appointed.
15-year company employee Lindsay Unwin has been promoted to CEO, while Manny Dion and Ryan Ramsey have been named co-presidents. Meanwhile, Wassim “Sal” Slaiby, who founded the talent management firm SALXCO representing notable artists like The Weeknd, French Montana, Metro Boomin, Swedish House Mafia, Brandy, Ty Dolla $ign and NAV, among others, will now dedicate his efforts to major projects and expanding business opportunities.
Unwin, who became CEO of SALXCO shortly after its establishment in 2011, stated that his position is proof of the success that comes from being deeply involved in an industry from its very start. He emphasized that SALXCO flourishes not only by adhering to existing culture but also by influencing it, shaping it with the help of our remarkable clients and their innovative ideas.
Sláiby remarked, “Following 15 outstanding years, Lindsay is ideally suited to manage our day-to-day activities.
Dion expressed his feeling of being “proud” to take up the position of co-president. “Holding our company’s history in high regard and with a clear plan for the future, I am thrilled to further develop what has already been established and guide our team and artists towards greater success within the music industry.
Ramsey thanked Slabiy and his team for the chance they’ve given him to grow over the past five years, expressing eagerness about moving forward with SALXCO. “I look forward to assisting in shaping the company’s future within this constantly changing sector,” he noted.
Regarding Unwin, Dion, and Ramsey, Slabiy stated that their leadership will play a crucial role as we begin our new phase.
Initially, Slaiby collaborated with an artist known as The Weeknd, whose birth name is Abel Tesfaye, back in 2011. This innovative musician has announced plans to launch a new album titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” which is due for release on January 24, 2025. A film related to the album, produced by Lionsgate and Live Nation Entertainment, is expected to premiere later in the same year.
