As a seasoned Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) gamer with countless hours spent on Estate and Underpass, I can’t help but feel like a lost soul in a ghost town. The disappearance of these iconic maps has left me yearning for the good old days. It’s as if they’ve been abducted by aliens or perhaps, more fittingly, Houdini himself!
As a seasoned gamer, I initially worried that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 might feel repetitive due to its maps being derived from an older game we’ve been immersed in for years. However, I’m pleased to report that the remastered environments continue to deliver an enjoyable gaming experience.
It wasn’t long before the Call of Duty maps began vanishing strangely, and eventually, Sledgehammer’s unique and well-liked creations appeared in the later updates following the game’s release.
There’s renewed interest in maps that imitate Houdini’s tricks, as gamers ask online for creators like “Estate” to reveal themselves and share their hidden creations.

For quite some time, the absence of certain maps in Modern Warfare 3, such as Estate and Underpass, has been a source of confusion among players. They’ve frequently wondered why these locations appear to have been removed from the game. Now, on Reddit, devoted fans of MW3 are expressing their concerns about their disappearance and requesting that they be brought back into the game.
One enthusiast expressed frustration, saying, “Why not keep the maps as is and spin them instead? I’m weary of the endless zombie-style reboots and cartoon adaptations of the same levels. It’s just disappointing!”

If the current map selection hasn’t received sufficient feedback, there are growing requests for additional maps, specifically from the Modern Warfare 2 (2022) collection, which have not been incorporated yet.
Months ago, tracks from Crown Raceway and Breenbergh Hotel were included in playlists, but now, newer picks such as Farm 18, Embassy, and Museum are being emphasized. As Black Ops 6 approaches, it seems disappointing for Modern Warfare 3 supporters, but Sledgehammer Games is increasingly recognized for catering to their fans’ most passionate requests.
