MW3 sneakily adds the Barrett .50cal with latest JAK kit

As a gamer with decades of Call of Duty under my belt, let me tell you, it feels like a sweet homecoming to have the Barret .50cal back in Modern Warfare 3, much like reuniting with an old friend after a long time apart. The Intervention was great and all, but nothing could ever truly fill the void left by that iconic sniper rifle from our youth.

Since we’ve been reminiscing about our favorite Call of Duty moments, battling on Afghan peaks using the Intervention, yet failing to hit anything, it has left a void in our hearts longing for nostalgia.

In Modern Warfare 2’s heyday, the Barrett .50cal was just as impressive as the Intervention when it came to sniping. However, when Infinity Ward opted for a nostalgic throwback, the Barrett .50cal was largely overlooked or forgotten.

Currently, Sledgehammer Games has heeded the request and enhanced the weapon known as JAK in a tribute to the cherished firearm.

RPK Aftermarket Part bizarrely changes the LMG into a beloved sniper

In the course of Modern Warfare 3, the Aftermarket Parts system introduced an array of bizarre and impressive armaments, frequently debuting as extremely powerful enhancements that were later toned down due to being overpowered.

In the newest update, the JAK Cataclysm modification is introduced for the RPK LMG in Modern Warfare 2. This significant enhancement transforms the powerful long-range weapon by equipping it with a sniper rifle-sized drum magazine.

As a seasoned gamer with years of battlefield experience under my belt, I can confidently say that this weapon modification kit is nothing short of a game-changer. Transforming a rapid-fire weapon into a semi-automatic one not only adds an intriguing twist to the usual fast-paced gaming action but also brings a new level of strategy and control to the table.

Previously discovered, the hidden sniper known as “The Throwback Sniper” has proven to be extraordinarily impressive. Luke “Scope” Sharretts, a content creator for FaZe Clan and a renowned marksman, shared a video demonstrating its power. In just nine seconds, he managed an astonishing eight kills with the weapon, filling the kill feed with the RPK’s outline and the headshot symbol.

In Warzone as well, the weapon might prove dangerously effective, particularly when landing headshots. Over the past year, sniper rifles have faced criticism due to being either excessively powerful or underwhelming. However, the JAK Cataclysm kit has shifted the balance yet again, making snipers overpowered once more.
