Prepare to embark on an exciting adventure through an entire neighborhood! In My Talking Tom Friends 2, I get the chance to step outside of Talking Tom’s apartment and mingle with his buddies at their very own homes. It’s a bigger, more immersive experience filled with endless fun and laughter!
Additionally, you’ll find a variety of mini-games and playthings hidden here. There’s such an abundance of activities that it could be challenging to decide where to begin!
We’ve prepared some useful suggestions for you to make the most out of your fresh start in the new community as quickly as possible. Enjoy exploring!
1 Collect Hearts and Level Up
The small heart icon situated at the upper-left part of your screen signifies your progression. As you gradually fill it up, you move forward to the next level. Occasionally, as you progress, you might unlock a fresh feature, which could be an item, activity, game, or even a new character with their own home.
It’s great to hear that advancing your level can be both enjoyable and effortless! All you need is to assist your friends in fulfilling their requirements and desires. Keep an eye on the speech and thought bubbles floating above them – the images inside will indicate what they require. For instance, if Angela’s bubble shows a knife and fork, guide her to the picnic table and help her eat. Similarly, if Tom’s bubble has a guitar, lead him to his home and let him play music!
Additionally, during the night when your friends are asleep, whether they’re in their own beds or spending the night with you, you can accumulate hearts too.
Typically, by the break of dawn, you’d have advanced a level, having accumulated hearts during the previous night.
2 Explore Main Street
On the left part of the neighborhood, you’ll find a line of establishments offering various products and services. Some cater to helping your friends’ requirements, while others provide enjoyable activities. As you move from left to right, here’s what you’ll see:
1. A grocery store for basic necessities.
2. A pet supply shop for furry companions.
3. A beauty salon for personal grooming.
4. A gym for physical fitness.
5. An arcade center with games for entertainment.
6. A bookstore for intellectual pursuits.
7. A café offering refreshments and light meals.
8. A movie theater for visual enjoyment.
9. A music school for learning instruments or vocal skills.
At the Seedling Hub, you can start your gardening journey by placing seed packets from the shelves into the planters, watch as your plants sprout and grow. Use the watering can by moving it over, or let a friend help by having them pour water. If your plants require nourishment, use the spray bottle in the same way. Once your plant has reached maturity, move it to one of your friends who will then plant it for you.
At the Convenience Store, you can select your desired food and drink items by either removing them from the shelves and placing them in your shopping cart, or just tapping them. Once you’ve gathered all your chosen items, simply tap the cash register to complete your purchase. Your items will then be transported to an outdoor picnic table for easy access.
If one of your friends is seeking a fresh style, take a trip to the Clothes Shop. Simply drag an outfit onto a character or select a friend and choose the clothing item you’d like to dress them with. The outfits you buy will be kept in the closets at their homes.
To wrap things up, the Health Center is jam-packed with entertaining interactive elements that’ll make you feel like a real-life doctor! From relaxing in a massage chair to examining an X-ray machine and even trying on a doctor’s coat, there’s something for every gaming friend here!
3 Hang Out in the Park
Here’s a friendly suggestion for your text: Step into our delightful park! From the lush flower beds at the plant nursery to the bustling action on the basketball court, there’s plenty here to keep you and your companions entertained outdoors.
In Tom’s new neighborhood, it’s always perfect for a picnic, which means you can invite your friends over anytime they’re feeling peckish! Just give the picnic table a gentle tap or guide them towards it to join the fun. To satisfy their hunger, either move the food from the table into their mouths, or just point at a snack item for easy access.
How about this: “Fancy a game near the fountain, perhaps making a wish and flipping a coin? Invite some of your favorite buddies to join, and let’s have fun by getting them wet and playing in the water together.
The play area provides numerous enjoyable activities, such as attempting to walk or simply sit while kicking your feet on the equipment. You can even test your balancing skills by moving a character onto it. For those seeking adventure, they might attempt to traverse it. Otherwise, toys and mini-games are plentiful in the park, but My Talking Tom Friends 2 has so many that they deserve their own special section (more details available below).
4 Check Out the Props
To open the inventory of unlocked items, simply press the button located at the bottom-left corner of your screen. Once in the menu, tap on an item to zoom in, then touch the item again for your selected friend to interact with it. Alternatively, you can move a friend over an item and sometimes they’ll start playing with it spontaneously.
When your friend is using an object (prop), press the button above their head to start the mini-game associated with that particular prop. In the initial release of the game, there are six different props you can interact with.
Interactive Lawn Mower:
This device, referred to as the Ride-on Mower, serves a dual purpose – it helps you manage your lawn by either cutting grass or removing snow. To designate an area for clearing, simply press and hold on the screen, and the mower will navigate towards that spot. However, remember to pick up any scattered coins while you’re at it. Additionally, opening boxes can yield extra coins as well!
The RC (Remote Control) Car: In this compact racing game, you can navigate and adjust your speed using the same thumb or finger. Interestingly, the car maintains its course autonomously, regardless of your direct input.
Keep your finger pressed on the screen to boost the throttle level. While you can generally go at top speed through most turns, be mindful of sharp corners and hairpins where you’ll need to reduce your speed. As you approach those tighter bends, briefly lift your finger from the screen before accelerating around the corner.
The Marble Maze: A prop with two game modes and two control systems. In Hole mode, your goal is to get the ball to a hole. Bug Mode has the same objective but with added bugs. Be warned, sometimes you have to squish one to get a key.
By default, you navigate using tilt controls. Imagine tilting your smartphone or tablet like a classic marble maze, and that’s how you control the game. Alternatively, you have the option to activate touch controls, allowing you to move the ball around with just a tap of your finger.
Paper Planes: Tap on the blueprint board to choose which design you want to use. Follow the guidelines to fold your piece of paper into a plane. When it’s finished, tap the Throw button. Now comes the really fun part. Use your finger to lift your plane up, then swipe to the right as fast as you can to throw it. A quick tip: the best angle for launch is 45°. During its flight, you can tap the screen to lift the nose of your plane so that it keeps flying forwards. You can also collect more fuel by flying into the blue stars.
Kite Creator: Start by selecting the shape of the kite you want. Next, use your finger to guide the scissors along the dotted line before using paint brushes to colour in your chosen design. After that, add some stickers and accessories to the string. Then return to the park to watch a friend flying the kite you created.
Skateboard: Hold your finger on the screen and move it up and down to guide your skater. Skate as far as you can while collecting coins, all without bailing into any of the obstacles standing in your way.
5 Play Mini-games
You can open the menu with the mini-games in My Talking Tom Friends 2 by tapping the button resembling a game controller, which is situated under the large heart icon at the top left corner of the screen. This menu displays all available mini-games, including those associated with props. Alternatively, you can reach this screen through the games console placed on the bench to the right side of the fountain. Additionally, other mini-games can be found within the game environment itself.
Street Art: At the basketball court, there’s a wall intended for street art. Tap the wall, or drag a character to it to start painting. You can start with a stencil design, or opt for a “blank canvas”. Each design is made up of several stencils, which you use to build your picture one layer at a time.
Whenever you begin a fresh design using a stencil, an appropriate color will automatically be chosen for you. However, feel free to modify it as per your preference whenever needed. Continue spraying the stencil until another one is indicated; simply touch on that to initiate the next layer.
Football Training: This mini-game is a series of challenges where you have to score a goal while collecting coins and avoiding obstacles. Simply tap the goal, or drag a character to it, then tap the game-pad button above their head to go to the training ground. Every time your character reaches the ball, the action will freeze, at which point you’ll need to draw a line to direct your kick. Your character will do their best to follow this path. You can take as many kicks as you need, so it’s worth dribbling through the coins on display before taking a shot on goal.
Rock Stars: Tap the guitar in Tom’s house, or drag a character onto it to start the game. A Jam Session involves Tom, Angela, and Hank, and is a bit easier than a Big Show. Select a Big Show if you want a full-production rock extravaganza featuring all five friends. To put in a perfect performance, wait for the arrows to pop up above each band member, and swipe in the direction indicated. In Hank’s case, there’ll be two dots instead of an arrow, so tap the screen twice to make him perform a flawless drum fill. Swipe to the right when the big arrow pops up, and the whole band will give the song a big crescendo.
Basketball Court: To shoot some hoops, you can tap the basketball court, or drag a character to it, then tap the game-pad button above their head. In a 3-shot contest, your goal is to score 3 out of 3 attempts.
Choosing “Free For All” allows you to take multiple shots. To make a shot, just swipe your finger upward toward the basket. Be careful not to swipe too aggressively; precision in your aim matters more than how forcefully or quickly you swipe.
Makeup Mirror: give your character a fierce glow by selecting a friend to send over to Angela’s house. You can choose between blusher, eyeliner, lipstick, or mascara (mascara is for the girls only). Use your finger to apply the makeup to the correct part of the character’s face. If you want to remove any makeup, then tap the cotton pads and use your finger to wipe the makeup off.
Tap the check mark when you’re finished and your character will now have a glamorous new look.
The Vivarium is a creative mini-game where you build structures in the sand, and is accessed inside Hank’s house. Tap the hammer icon on the left to choose from a wide selection of structures to form the foundation of your sandpit construction. Then, drag them onto the sand to add them; you can also stack items on top of each other. Tap the bucket to add toys to your structures, and tap the lizard button to add a variety of cute critters. If you want to remove an item, then select the spade. If you want to start over, simply move the bomb to the sandpit.
6 Take the Bus to the Water Park
Instead of just enjoying the amusement in the neighborhood, why not spice things up with a visit to the Water Park? Just remember to keep track of the bus timetable; it operates independently. Once it arrives, gather everyone quickly and ensure they all board. If you wish, you can escort your friends to the bus stop where they can sit and wait for its arrival.
Upon arrival, guide each of your friends towards the changing cabins so they can don their swimwear. Once everyone is dressed, here’s what you can do:
1. Slide down the water slide (gently push them into the elevator at the bottom).
2. Swim in the pool or use a floatie, make a big splash and leap from the diving board.
3. Take a seat in the lifeguard chair.
4. Play with water blasters, beach balls, bubble wands.
5. Make an ice cream at the factory then relax on a sun lounger.
6. To use each item, simply lead your friend there.
7. When it’s time to go home, just tap the bus.
Additional destinations will be added in later updates.
