Nadaaniyan: Ibrahim Ali Khan’s onscreen dad Jugal Hansraj REACTS to trolling of debutante and Khushi Kapoor; ‘Personal attacks are…’

In the digital release of the romantic comedy “Nadaaniyan,” Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor starred together. Following the movie’s premiere, both lead performers faced intense criticism on social media about their acting abilities in the film. Subsequently, Jugal Hansraj, portraying Ibrahim’s character’s father on screen, spoke out against the unjust personal criticisms directed at these young actors.

In conversation with India Today Digital, Jugal Hansraj emphasized that criticism should be helpful, not hurtful. If someone who understands filmmaking or has experience in the industry shares their thoughts on a show or article about what was effective and what wasn’t, it can serve as valuable learning material.

1. The individual highlighted instances of unconstructive criticism on social platforms, describing them as trivial and immature.

2. In his own words, the actor expressed that he avoids labeling a film as ‘bad’, instead acknowledging that it may not have resonated with him personally. He further commented on people’s tendency to believe they know everything.

In simpler terms, the actor from Nadaaniyan elaborated on his perspective by highlighting similarities between the present and past eras. He noted that several performers initially made their mark in the 80s, but they were afforded the opportunity to develop their talents because there was no social media at that time.

Initially, everyone felt an identical unease, but thankfully, due to the absence of widespread social media, there wasn’t the unbalanced judgment that often comes with it.

In simpler terms, the actor from Mohabbatein emphasized that beginners often experience significant stress because of the intense scrutiny. He pointed out that in today’s world of social media, anyone can be a critic, regardless of whether they’ve ever worked on a movie set before.

To wrap things up, I firmly stand against the disrespectful manner of criticizing individuals, especially when their physical appearance is involved. It’s essential we promote a kinder and more respectful dialogue in our discussions.

Instead of resorting to personal insults, it would be much more beneficial if you could offer constructive feedback instead. Such feedback aids actors in their learning process and improvement. However, criticizing someone’s appearance can become confusing and unsightly. I strongly discourage such unhelpful criticism.

Jugal Hansraj played Dr Sanjay Mehta, Ibrahim Ali Khan’s father, in the Netflix film Nadaaniyan.
