Following her appointment as the cover athlete for NBA 2K25, marking the first female to grace the cover of the basketball franchise – A’ja Wilson has been given a rating of 99, positioning her as the greatest female basketball player ever and admitting her into an exclusive group known as the 99 club.
Here are the five leading WNBA players: Breanna Stewart ranks second (with a score of 97), just behind Wilson. Also on the list are Napheesa Collier (95), Alyssa Thomas (95), and Brittney Griner (94).
Five standout WNBA rookies have been recognized this year. Two of these rising stars have experienced remarkable breakthrough performances on the court, while the remaining three have solidified their roles as established players in the league.
Caitlyn Clark and Angel Resse, two captivating stars and valuable assets for the WNBA, begin their gaming experience with an initial rating of 90. Their undiscovered talent makes them highly attractive choices in MyGM and MyCareer modes.
In the upcoming NBA 2K25 video game, Kamilla Cardoso, Rickea Jackson, and Cameron Brink are considered as the top prospects from the rookie class of ’24, who will be added to the game with an initial rating of 80 points. This puts them ten points below Clark and Resse, the highest-rated newcomers.
2K25 unveiled that this year, Resse and Clark will feature in the TV series ‘The W’ alongside ‘The Pursuit of Greatness’. Additionally, ‘The W’ project is set to receive media events and mentorship opportunities as it gains renewed attention.
