As a long-time fan of horror movies and Halloween-themed attractions, I can hardly contain my excitement about NBC’s “Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares” at Rockefeller Center! Having grown up attending Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, I have always been captivated by the immersive and terrifying experiences they create. The fact that this year’s event is being designed in collaboration with Jimmy Fallon, a fellow horror enthusiast, makes it even more enticing.
NBC is transforming Rockefeller Center in New York City into a spooky haunted house, collaborating with The Tonight Show’s host Jimmy Fallon and the creators of Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights for assistance.
I’m super pumped about the upcoming release next month of “Jimmy Fallon’s Nightmare Labyrinth,” a heart-stopping haunted maze adventure inspired by the chilling dreams of late-night TV legend, Jimmy Fallon! This thrill ride will feature an unforgettable lineup of 10 bone-chilling rooms that promise to give me quite a scare.
The company plans to make “horror nightmares a reality in an all-encompassing haunted house, filled with chilling environments, authentic effects, and scares lurking around every turn.” This creation was developed in partnership with the team behind the widely acclaimed Halloween Horror Nights events at Universal Studios theme parks. Additionally, NBCUniversal’s Franchise Management group worked together with Fallon to create this real-life experience.
Tickets for the event start at $36.90, and they will be available for purchase starting August 22nd. The event taking place at NBC’s worldwide headquarters is set to conclude on October 31st.
Tonightmares offers all the chilling elements to give you a truly terrifying Halloween experience, as Fallon stated. While I won’t explicitly mention it, know that this includes menacing scarecrows, ravenous zombies, and an eerie abandoned gas station in the middle of nowhere. Just a heads up, there are spoilers ahead.
NBCUniversal has seen a booming market with horror experiences. Night after night, their Halloween Horror Nights events in both California and Florida attract throngs of visitors to the parks. Inside these parks, intricate haunted mazes (many inspired by NBCU intellectual properties) are carefully built.
Similar to Halloween Horror Nights, NBC advises that the horror attraction featuring Jimmy Fallon is not suitable for children under the age of 14. Additionally, NBC Universal is building a long-lasting, horror-themed attraction in Las Vegas.
Every year, NBCUniversal breathes fresh life into Halloween by offering unique and captivating Halloween-themed content and activities. David O’Connor, president of franchise management & brand strategy, added that this includes both our theme parks and film and TV productions. By leveraging our extensive horror heritage, we are ecstatic to collaborate with Jimmy Fallon, who shares a deep passion for the holiday, to create an exceptional, exclusive experience utilizing our company’s expertise.
