As a seasoned gamer with a keen eye for the behind-the-scenes action, I can’t help but feel a surge of admiration for Jeanne Mau. With her impressive two-decade stint at CBS and now NBCUniversal, she’s not just leveling up in the gaming world of corporate America, she’s mastering the game!

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that the trailblazer leading NBCUniversal’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts for television programming has climbed another rung on the executive ladder. This move not only recognizes their significant contributions but also sets an inspiring example for the industry as a whole.

As a proud fan, I’m thrilled to share that Jeanne Mau has been elevated to the role of Executive Vice President for TV Programming DEI within our company! Since joining NBCU in 2021, she had already been holding a senior position. Now, she’ll carry on reporting to Pearlena Igbokwe, Chairman at Universal Studio Group, and Frances Berwick, NBCU Entertainment Chairperson. I can’t wait to see the amazing work she’ll do from this new vantage point!

“For the past three years, Jeanne has consistently grown and upgraded our efforts towards inclusion in television. She’s brought fresh perspectives both on-screen and off, and has proven indispensable to our showrunners and creative teams. As stated by Igbokwe and Berwick, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our principles. Moving forward, Jeanne will continue to play a vital part in our business, helping us achieve our goal of creating engaging content that resonates with diverse global audiences.”

In her tenure at NBCUniversal, Mau has spearheaded the NBCU Launch program, a collective drive for diversity and inclusivity that spans NBCU’s linear television networks, Peacock streaming platform, and studio division. She’s further revamped the company’s screenwriting and directorial programs and kickstarted NBCU’s first substantial initiatives in non-scripted programming, focusing on inclusivity.

Before moving to NBCUniversal, Mau had a 20-year tenure at CBS, climbing up the ranks to become Senior Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. Additionally, she serves on the advisory board for the Alliance of Women Directors.
