Notable actress Neena Gupta, recognized for her openness, recently disclosed a startling experience from her past. She unveiled that one midnight, she and her child, Masaba, were unceremoniously evicted from her aunt’s residence, finding themselves without shelter and burdened with an infant.
Recently, Neena Gupta revealed during a conversation with Housing.com that she bought a 3-bedroom apartment in a well-known building. However, to finance the new acquisition, she had already sold her old home, leaving her short on funds. In the interim, she temporarily resided with her aunt and uncle.
In simpler terms, the actress from Uunchai stated that she used to stay predominantly at her aunt’s house, returning to her own apartment merely to sleep. Since Masaba was still quite young, her aunt also looked after her. She confided that a significant change occurred in her life when her aunt suddenly evicted her unexpectedly during the night.
One night, she unexpectedly evicted me and left me out on the street; she kicked me out with no money left. That same night, I was homeless with a baby. However, during this difficult time, her kindness prevailed, and her uncle took pity on her and relocated her to his mother-in-law’s long-abandoned house in Juhu.
Despite looking neglected and covered in spider webs, Neena, carrying an infant, personally took care of cleaning the house. Regrettably, her stay didn’t last long as she was requested to depart shortly after.
Neena Gupta disclosed that, finding herself homeless, she visited the construction site where she had paid for her upcoming home and detailed her predicament to the builder. She inquired if it was feasible to receive a refund so she could purchase an already-occupied dwelling instead. Gratefully, the builder returned the full sum without any deductions.
The actress’s Mumbai story started back in the 1980s, when she left Delhi for a fresh start. Sharing a place to live at first, she eventually purchased her initial flat with some support from her parents. Since then, she opted against leasing homes and instead accumulated more apartments over time by purchasing them one after another. As her earnings increased, she would sell the properties she had, added extra money, and invested in a new apartment.
